Add a field to the display of a workitem in the Planning Board
I wanted to add a field to the display of an item on the Planning Board - when I added assigned to - it added that field but won't display the third field - story points now - is there a two field limit?

Yes, the planning board cards are limited to two customizable fields. This is something we definitely want to address in a future redesign.

This can be done by creating your own mapping file.
By default, the mapping files can be found under 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010\Application Tier\Web Access\Web\UrbanTurtle\configuration\project'. Create a copy of the default Scrum file and change its name (it's an attribute at the top of the document). The file itself is xml-based. You will need to edit the configured fields under the PlanningBoard section. We don't have any formal documentation for this, but I will be happy to answer your questions, should you have any.
Don't forget to configure your project to use your new file. From the Project menu (in the planning board or the task board), select the Configuration menu item. Choose the appropriate configuration file and click the Apply button. If inconsistencies are found with your new file, Urban Turtle will display an information bar which will allow you to access the log files and pinpoint the problem. -

Urban Turtle 3.11 is now available. Check it out!

Urban Turtle does not allow for field concatenation, but you could probably go around this limitation via some tinkering with your project's process template. Maybe create a new field and fill it with values from other fields?

Sadly, there is no support for calculated fields: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Foru...
Thanks for the reply though! -

A similar suggestion has been made here. An implementation is still not planned however.
