Add a new "Collapse Done" to the Task Board
There is already a Collapse All and Expand All button on the Task Board which are self explanatory. It would also be useful to have a link to collapse all backlog items that are marked as "done" which saves screen real estate.

We've decided to port the filtering options from the planning board to the task board. In the next version (3.11), you'll be able to filter out work items based on their type, or hide done items and items from child iterations.

How about taking the "Hide Resolved Work Items" filter from the planning board and adding it to the task board, effectively hiding all Done work items? Or do you really need to close each Done section individually?

I would still like to see the green headers, so I can see that they are done, I just don't want to see their tasks.

I misunderstood. I thought you wanted to hide done tasks, not done product backlog items. Makes sense. I'll add it to the backlog. Thanks a lot!

I like the idea of adding the "Hide Resolved Work Items" to the task board. This will make reading the task board much easier as stories are resolved.

After using this for a bit, it is not entirely meeting my needs. For me what would be useful is to only hide resolved user stories and not child tasks/bugs for a user story that is still active.
This would allow me to easily find the user stories that still need to be resolved, but I can also see the work that was done on them. -

Did you try
Hide resolved work items from card filter ?

Yes, and it hid too much. With that option checked, it hides all of the closed tasks and bugs for an active story.
My preference would be for that option to only hide stories that are resolved and its children, but if the story is not resolved, do nothing with its closed child items. -

Thanks Anthony, I'll add your suggestion to our backlog.
