Hi there,
Quite often, we're experiencing incredibly slow behaviors. After a thorough investigation we figured out it is down to queries that UT sends to sql server. They are humongous and they take over 30 secs to run. I wish I could attach one example here (it counts 70K chars - no spaces - saved as a text file it's 76KB!!).
Most of the times those queries return empty result sets (I wanted to make sure it wasn't me asking for too many work items). I had a look at the queries and I really don't understand the logic they are built with, but I don't want to discuss details here. I just hope I'm missing something big, because otherwise UT is definitely not an option.
Is there anyway we can get in direct contact please?
thanks
stefano

Please contact support@urbanturtle.com. I'm very interested to hear about your findings. Urban Turtle does not perform actual SQL queries. It uses the TFS API which translates TFS calls into those actual queries. Hopefully we'll find something that can be improved in the way we use the API which could benefit everyone.

p.s. I just realized now that for some reason I created this topic under praise...my bad-
I hadn't noticed. I just changed it into a problem.

So, after few days of using it without any favourites and with the Team feature enabled, the performance is way better. Now the product is usable.
We're slowing adding Teams to it, hence adding users...I'll keep you posted on how it copes.
thanks for now! -

That's good news. We'll investigate the issue with the favorites and see if we can improve the query performance when many iterations and areas are hidden. Thanks a lot for your help!

Update: almost 2 weeks w/o favorites and with Teams enabled and all seems to be fine. Performance could be better, but it's definitely acceptable.
Cheers! -
