Other Work Items on Task Board
Is it possible to turn off "Other Work Items" grouping on the Task Board? I would like to show the items in order of priority, rather than grouped at the bottom.

The task board displays work items according to their parent-child relationship. Root items, or top-level parents, appear as group headers with their descendants nested under them. Root items that do not have any children are automatically grouped into a fake parent group header, the Other Work Items section. This section cannot be disabled.
I surmise that you would like to see these items as group headers, but without any children under them. Correct? -

Hi Louis, thanks for replying.
Ideally I would see them as child items (without a parent, with a self-named parent, or in their own "Other Work Items" blocks), so that I can move them across the board.
Bugs are normally fairly high priorities for us, but have no parent and so are always displayed at the bottom. This makes it tricky to determine which Work Item should be worked on next. -

I would recommend adding a task under each bug, which makes it easier to track work in progress and work remaining. It would also respect the priority as the bugs would then be displayed as parents on the task board.

I appreciate what you are saying, but it isn't just bugs. It is also for tasks, as we have some which fall outside of product backlog items. At the moment we deal with this by giving all of these parent items with the same name, but it is time consuming.

As this is already on our backlog, I will update the PBI with your comments. Thank you for your feedback!
