We just changed the iteration structure to be something similar to this:
Root
-->Archived
----->...
-->Backlog
----->lastweek
----->currentWeek
----->nextweek
Through the Team feature all teams are pointing to Backlog. All good so far.
The problem is that the iterations under Backlog are not remembered in the settings. That seems to be a problem only for iterations (not for Areas) and only if the rootiteration of the team is not the real root of the hierarchy.
Am I doing anything wrong?

When you say it is not remembered, what do you mean exactly? When you select it, if you go the task board and back to the planning board, it is not selected anymore?Comment

It happens everytime you do something causing a roundtrip to the server.
The most annoying one is when you open a WI (while looking the 'currentWeek' iteration), do something with it and then save\close it. The taskboard\planning board refreshes and goes to the Backlog iteration.
I've verified that if I set the rootiteration to be "Root/Backlog" everything works fine. But that obviously still shows all iterations, which I'd like to avoid.
